Hi, I’m Noa. I run Sylfaen — a one-person web studio based in Wales, building websites for small businesses that need to be found online.

I started Sylfaen because I noticed how many brilliant local businesses — cafes, plumbers, hair salons, personal trainers — either had no website at all or were stuck with something that looked like it was built in 2012. They deserved better, and they shouldn’t have to pay agency prices to get it.

Why Wales?

Wales has thousands of small businesses that are fantastic at what they do but invisible online. When someone in Pontypridd searches for a plumber or a cafe with good reviews, businesses without a website simply don’t show up. I want to change that, one business at a time.

The name Sylfaenmeans “a foundation” in Welsh. That’s exactly what a good website should be: a solid foundation that helps your business grow.

How I work

I keep things simple. We have a chat about your business, I build your site, and you give feedback until it feels right. The whole process usually takes about two weeks. After launch, I handle hosting, updates, and small changes — all included in the monthly price.
